middle school science teacher educating thousands of challenging adolescents
honed my persuasion skills razor sharp.
My job was “selling” complex science knowledge and application, plus
essential life skills, to an indifferent, reluctant crowd. These kids are savvy,
sharp as a whip, and can sniff out insincerity a mile away. And when you think about it, you could probably use
the same words to describe your audience, too. Sometimes I had to fly under
the radar, unleash my secrets and entice them to let me into their world. That
